A restored boat will become something quite different from a new one, regardless of how much you change. The history and soul will always remain after the restoration and gives the restored boat a character all of its own. Even a dilapidated boat can have a second life; there are no limits to the restoration works we will accept.
To restore the fishing boat Bessie of Svanshall is the most comprehensive and educative piece of work we´ve ever done. More than 90 percent of the wood was replaced, including keel, floor timbers, stem and stern post. The restoration lasted for 1859 hours and is now the winner of the Classic Boat Award "Restoration of the Year 2018"(boats under 40 ft). Thanks to all of you who voted for Bessie!
